SMART SWAP: Swap crunches for planks. The pay-off: Lying on your back doing countless reps of crunches won't get you tight abs. To tighten your tummy, turn over and try planks. These work your entire core by isolating the muscles, getting you in shape - fast! To do: Get in position as shown in picture. Hold for 60 seconds. Repeat 3-5 times.

I am getting back in to my walking.I used to do a little over 10,000 steps a day and felt so good then my dog passed that would walk with me forever and would bring him in then walk another dog but the first was the walker that i miss so much i stop walking..my son trains people in crossfit..he loves it more than anything he looks so good..he is upset that i quit and gain weight because i looked good.and got on cokes(i know bad)i have put on because of them.i love to cook good foods love healthy cookbooks.and now alot of water with lemon and csty lt tea with lemon...i taught my son about working out and good food now look at me..i am 5'4 and my weight is 223. The biggest ever...but its just me now sad son gone well his on life and i miss him but ready to do it again so can you tell me where and what you think? if you see my pierest site i have alot of good recipes for all.so can ya see?

  2. I do planks quite often, ut I still need to see the belly go away that covers the muscle...any ideas? I have a 4 month old and didn't gain much weight with the pregnancy, however I still have some to lose so I need help with the 25 pounds or so.

  3. You ladies need to simply lift weights! Don't worry, you lack the testosterone to become bulky. Build a little muscle all over. Sure you may gain 3 lbs at first but don't freak out. It will drop off in a week or so. Do this 3x weekly for 3 weeks, then start adding in 10-15 min of cardio after you put the weights down, while your heart rate is still elevated. Don't be too calorie restrictive, but reduce all processed foods. Drink tons of water too! Be consistent, and start seeing results in 5 weeks, keep it up and your body fat % will reduce all over. You may not notice the scale weight dropping as fast as you want but you will notice pants sizes dropping quick and inches off. You will feel firmer and tighter, and those bra straps will not dig in as deep. Give it a good 12 weeks before you even think about quitting! That's 3 months...just in time for bikini season.
